Wayne woke me up one morning to come and look out our back door.....the tree that was there was no longer a tree....it wasn't even a stump...it was a hole in the ground.  The hole just got progressively bigger and bigger.
They started adding steel plates for the diggers and trucks to come and go.
Pouring concrete when we got home from work...was late as we had ever see them working.  Usually they have finished by the time we come home...but not this night.
We can see that they have wrapped the banks up...not sure why.  The have created a place to wash all the trucks as they leave the building site....it is law...as not dirty truck is allowed on the road.
Laying the foundations for the trucks to move on and unwrapping the banks.  The buildings at the back right side are for the workers.
Out our front window are the trucks lining up, to take the dirt away to where we don't know.
And now they are slowly eroding the grass, taking the dirt away, diggers working furiously, trucks coming and going, men working and working.  All the above happened in the last month.  Makes you wonder what will happen in the next month.

MAE Dinner 2010

It was that time of the year again for our annual dinner, Anne and her team created a wonderful night.  It was at the Hotel Peninsula Excelsior.  It was a masked event and great fun.
The lady that pulled it all off.  There was also a photo booth which was a great hit with all.

Glen looking fabulous in her mask.

Our table trying to work out the eyes to win a prize...sadly we didn't win.

Game time....balloon between the legs relay....

and the winners!

Then it was an eating, drinking tying and blowing competition.
Two of the important men in my life in Singapore.  One needs no explaining - the other pays my salary!

Blind folded musical chairs...Wayne and Carol trying to find out which one was the human chair or contestant.

Dancing...no finding a chair1

And the victor....a nice red vase for a prize.
2010 has  been an interesting year and this was a nice way to almost end the year.  When its annual dinner time we know the year is nearly at an end.  There is only 6 weeks to go and so much to do before the end of the year.  It will get done!  Shopping for a dress to wear was made easy thanks to Brigid and Katie I was able to buy a dress for $40 marked down from $159...a good bargain.  Masks were another  thing....wearing glasses makes wearing masks a hard task.  As usual there were door prizes and this year they gave them out at the door...in the form of an envelope with the voucher inside.  Opening mine was a mystery prize which meant I was in the running for the main prize.  As was Wayne.  We had no idea what the main prize was.  it ended up being an I-pad...and no we didn't win that...I got 2nd with some gold jewelery and Wayne received a handbag camera.  We pick them on Wednesday, when we get to work.  All in all a successful night.
