We love walking on Bukit Kiara and are constantly amazed at the insect and things we find in Asia.
This little caterpillar was just meandering along the path and stayed still long enough to get a photo.Up close and personal with a digger. Love using my macro for shots like this.
Sunlight filtering through the web.
Seed pods lying on the path. They are like a mass of wriggling worms that are frozen i n time.
A fern unfurling with a spider at the tip.
The roofs of the toll plaza are all the same and must have some meaning but I am not sure what. Two or three lanes spread out to more that 6 lanes and then converge back into two or three lanes.
Yes, they still have police on horseback in Melaka. These lovely horses and their owners stopped for a photo.
It's always worth a walk through Fort A Famosa (from the Portuguese) to the top of the hill to St Paul's Church. Many artists paint, draw or sing here.
Hotel Puri, where we stayed is an old Chinese mansion that has been added on to to accomadate the many visitors to Melaka.
On one of our walks we found this delightful coffee shop.
Along the many narrow streets with their wide paths are many varied and beautiful plants.
Swallows had made their nests inside the hotel and the owners were protecting them. They had built little shelves to catch the dropping and ensured that their was always an entrance and exit for them.
After a yummy breakfast we walked along the river front and back again to meet up with our friends for lunch before we all went our separate ways.
Orchids always amaze me with their colours and brightness. The cornice on Hotel Puri was impressive.
Just a few doors down was this temple. So pretty and such a long way to the back of the temple.
For a long time I have beentrying to get a good photo of the yellow and white frangipani and this time I got it.
All along the waterfront are murals which depicts the different tribes of Malaysia.
The first time we visited the river was not much but now it is stunning and a great place to walk along.
I love these trucks. They have wooden cabs and this guy waved at us as we took our photos.
We then took a quick trip to Phuket to catch up with Wayne's Cousin Carol and her husband Miles.
The motor bike loads still amaze me.Wayne, Carol and Miles.
While having dinner we noticed the birds roosting on the power lines for the night.
Our friend Morris picked us up and took us to visit the rehabilitation place for gibbons. People keep them for pets or for the tourists to take photos with. Such a cruel thing to do and something I certainly don't support. The work they do here is remarkable and they set these gibbons back into the wild if they can.
Morris always takes us to some amazing pace for a meal. This one had a yummy as email and also a fantastic view.
Then it was back to Morris's for a yummy coffee and banana cake and to meet Belle. She is so cute and has her master trained so well.
